This naturally coloured agate cave polished point, is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve had the pleasure of discovering in my crystal shopping escapades. This beauty stands 19cm tall and 8cm across the base, and weighs 1.95kg. It has gorgeous creamy lines through it – entirely natural colours, with the most exquisite pattern on the back, and beautiful gemmy points on the front site. This piece stands on its base, and could also be laid flat as a beautiful charging bed for your most precious jewellery.
There are beautiful lavender and purple points on the side that would have originally been the inside of the geode.
The sides show the mesmerising layers of the stone and range in colour from lavender to clear, to light blue, dark blue, brown, and the rough rock that would have been from the outer most layer.
The back would make a beautiful piece to display in its own right – it almost looks like pieces of petrified wood (although it is rock). This piece has not been dyed – and is entirely natural (other than having been polished into the point shape).
According to Judy Hall’s Crystal Bible, agate is a grounding stone, bringing emotional, physical and intellectual balance.
Agate has the power to harmonise yin and yang, the positive and negative forces that hold the universe in place. A soothing and calming stone, Agate works slowly but brings great strength. It’s multiple layers can bring hidden information to light – and with this piece you could have a meditation field day gazing into its many facets.
